Empowering Girls

Our work creates lasting change

The intersectionalities of a girl’s race, identity and social-economic standing makes them more vulnerable to heightened experiences of inequality.

Thats why creating safe spaces for girls is vital in increasing their self esteem and overall well being.

Our mission

Empowering lives

Our mission is to elevate the voices of Black and marginalized girls by offering opportunities that improve their holistic well-being through programs, mentorship, and  access to resources.Annually, we cater to 600 girls  between the ages of 13-20 in low-income households across the GTHA and Ghana

Roots of a Black Girl

Groundbreaking Research

The Roots of  a Black Girls  research stands out in that it was informed by 245 Black-identifying girls across Ontario who participated in surveys, Afro-centric Sharing Circles and test programming.  The first of its kind in Canada, this study increases understanding of what is working for girls in the education system, and where they are feeling ignored, pushed out, and inadequately supported.
